HOCKLEY HUSTLE 2025

 

It was the usual format: meet in the pub for breakfast, then keep in touch with each other throughout the day via group chat. The pub wasn't serving breakfast, so I had to make do with street food.

First act was Motormouf across the road, not my thing but listenable and available before most other venues. Next was Revenge of Calculon at Rough Trade, weird music and a venue that has a poor view of the stage once it goes above 40 people.

With a gap in my schedule, I took a well-needed break for food before seeing Archy and the Astronauts at the Bogoda. 

With Rough Trade full and several other venues too packed for comfort, I headed to The 6 Barrel Draft House, where I watched 4 bands.

Tom Hewitt, Duck Jumper, Cherry Stone & Lois. I wasn't going to stay for Cherry stone, but I was joined by other members of the meetup group.

Finally, I watched a Reggae act at the last pub before heading back.
