INSIDE THE WORLD OF MEETUP

  Normally I wouldn't be bothered to travel to a walk that was only 3-4 miles but it was the most boring weekend of the year. After a catch up we headed past the nice houses and into the fields where it got very muddy very quickly. We went down the appropriately named "bog lane" where it was so bad I had to hold on to the fence all the way down. The rest of the walk was done on solid ground, they opted for a walk around the lake at the end but I lost them in the last 10 minutes and got the bus home. 

  Under normal circumstances I wouldn't have travelled for a walk of just 4 miles. But it was a new group and I had nothing else going down that day. A cancelled but meant I had to walk from east midlands airport to Melbourne hall before we even started. Only 4 people turned up, but it was a scenic walk out past the ponds towards Breedon Hill. We thankfully took the less steep, shadier route to the top of the hill. It turned out that one of the organisers recently had heart surgery which was why the walk was only 4 miles. On the way back we stopped at the Bulls Head pub in Wilson, before heading back to the start. Thankfully the bus turned up.
